• Demonstrate proper use of fitness equipment 
• Instruct members on correct work out techniques 
• Monitor members’ progress 
• Enforce safety rules and regulations 
• Teach Group Fitness classes as scheduled/fill in for absent instructors 
• Ensure all fitness equipment is maintained and properly/regularly cleaned 
• Assists with department-wide special events/programs as needed

The minimum education and/or experience required is as follows: 

• Valid Alabama Driver's License 
• High school diploma 
• Preferred education/experience: 
• Two years’ fitness instructor experience 
• Personal Trainer Certification/Group Fitness Instructor Certification 

This is a full-time hourly position. The salary range is $29,577 to $36,379 annually. Starting salary is negotiable based on education, experience, and other qualifications.
