Fort Payne Parks and Recreation - Assistant Athletic/Aquatic Director

  • Coordinates youth and adult athletic programs/events 
  • Coordinates and books athletic tournaments 
  • Manages operations of city pools and splash pad 
  • Oversees coordination of concessions stands 
  • Assists with sports turf management 
  • Assist with preparing fields and facilities for games/tournaments 
  • Effectively communicates with parents, coaches, athletes, and staff 
  • Assists with other programs and special events 
  • Flexible work schedule including nights and weekends 

The minimum education and/or experience required is as follows: 

  • Valid Alabama's Driver's License 
  • CPO/AFO within in 18 months of hire 
  • High school diploma 
  • Preferred education/experience: 
  • Two year's supervisory experience

This is a salaried position that will require working nights and weekends. The salary range is $37,440.00 to $47,427 annual starting salary is negotiable based on education, experience, and other qualifications.
